Journal of Medicine, University of Santo Tomas (JMUST) is a bi-annual, open-access, peer-reviewed journal. It is the official publication of the UST Faculty of Medicine and Surgery and the University of Santo Tomas Hospital, Manila, Philippines.

JMUST is dedicated to provide healthcare practitioners with the best and most updated information in health science research and education. Its mission is to assist healthcare practitioners through education, in delivering the best care to their patients. Peer-reviewed and evidence-based, all articles in the JMUST are subjected to a rigorous process of peer-review and editing before publication. This is to ensure that anything thereon is scientifically accurate and is free from any form of plagiarism.

JMUST adheres to journalistic standards that require transparency of real and potential conflicts of interests that authors, editors, and reviewers may have. It follows publishing standards set by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE; www.icmje.org), the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME; www.wame.org), and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE; http://publicationethics.org/).

JMUST welcomes submissions of original evidence-based qualitative and quantitative research papers, clinical application papers and descriptions of best clinical practices, original research and QI reports, case studies, narratives, commentaries, review articles, letters to editor, researches on medical education, approved research proposals, and other manuscripts on a variety of clinical and professional topics.

JMUST's mission is to promote excellence in health care through the dissemination of evidence-based, peer-reviewed clinical information and original research, discussion of relevant and controversial professional issues, adherence to the standards of journalistic integrity and excellence, and promotion of sound and scientifically valid perspectives to the health care community and the public.
