Bio note
A Graduate of the University of Santo Tomas (Manila, Philippines) from Bachelor of Science to Medical Degrees, then Residency in Neurology & Psychiatry at the University Hospital. He is currently Full Professor in the Medical Faculty and the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Medicine; formerly Dept. Chair of Neurology and Psychiatry, and Head of the Neuroscience Institute that he established in the same University Hospital.
PhD in Neurosciences obtained from the Kagoshima University Graduate School of Medicine (Dissertation: Experimental BoNT effects in extrafusal and intrafusal muscles)
Subspecialties completed in Neuromuscular and Movement Disorders from the Dept. of Neurology & Geriatrics of Kagoshima University Hospital and the Neuromuscular Institute of the Japan National Center for Neurology & Psychiatry (Tokyo); Had Clinician Programs, the Mayo Clinical Electrophysiology Lab (Rochester, MN) and the Dystonia Clinic of Columbia University (NY).
